Recently the sales threads have been going unanswered with so many sellers bumping them to no avail.
There has been a discussion and some say its due to recession and buyers are applying the “wait and watch” approach. I believe that this is due to a mix of the recession scare, the possibility of extensions being free and on demand; and also the Snowe bill, which aims to make a domainers life more difficult. Some no longer feel domains are the securest of Investments, looking at shocking reverse domain hijacking cases being thrown into limelight. I dotn want to sound overly pessimistic, but a lot of negatives are creeping up and comparative newbies like myself can only brace for the future.
Although people quote DNJournal logs for big time sales, its quantities that have taken a beating. Daily flips, small sales and mid value sales have gone down substantially. The kind of names i used to sell easily, are priced at half of what i would have got 6 months back; but still there are no results.
Is this an indication of the difficult times to come, or is it an opportunity for the brave to venture into some great deals?
