Cant say I got lazy with posting here, but lets say I took some time off domaining again.
With uncertainties being hurled around everywhere, I thought it would be best to concentrate on the basic revenue source. Well, the domain marketplace has certainly diminished in numbers, more quality than quantity now. Actually, you could say its better quality thats selling, the lesser but still good domains are having problems with mobility and liquidity. Only time will tell how all this will churn out to be.
How uncertain the market is shows with small utility sites being developed by domainers. From zone file readers to domain aggregators, anything and everything seems to be developed. In a way its all good, the domaining industry needed some time to reflect upon itself and build on their tools and resources to take it to the next level. You can finally see some competition in the "utility & resources" market. As far as buying and selling domains goes, refining and sorting your portfolio is the way to go. I have let go a lot of domains, but I did renew some for multiple years as they were highly speculative for me, and I did not want to let them go next year. I wish to give them a chance, and would simply give them the breathing time & space to raise in value.
Meanwhile, I will continue with the development and optimization work. See you until my next post dudes.
